Sample Luminance & Illuminance Images from Radiance
Radiance generates two types of Simulation Images - Luminance & Illuminance.
Luminance
images are photo realistic renderings.
Illuminance
generates renderings for Daylighting & Lux level studies.
Once generated, images can be displayed and saved in various formats. The formats available are:
Lighting levels generated from mouse clicks on the image
Lighting levels displayed in the form of contour lines
Lighting levels displayed in the form of contour bands
Lighting levels displayed in the form of false color renderings
Lighting levels displayed over image in grid format
Sources of glare
EXTERNAL VIEWS
generated using Radiance
a) Luminance - Image indicating lighting levels in footcandles on facade
b) Luminance - Image indicating lighting levels using contour lines on facade
c) Illuminance - Image generated using Illuminance, for Daylight & lux level studies
d) Illuminance - Image indicating lux levels over image in grid format
INTERNAL
Views generated using Radiance
a) Luminance - Image indicating lighting levels in footcandles on internal surfaces
b) Luminance - Image indicating potential areas of glare on internal surfaces
c) Luminance - Image indicating lighting levels on internal surfaces using contour lines (in footcandles)
d) Illuminance - Image indicating lux levels in contour bands
e) Illuminance - Image indicating lux levels in grid form
